with some of the most beautiful gals I know! Oh, and a glass of wine or two.
First off, yes I’m wearing a pink “Bride to Be” sash (when in Rome…) and yes, we did go to a Virginia winery (maybe two). I can’t help myself! But then again, this is a total judgement-free zone, right?
Second and most importantly, I had the best weekend (much-needed after my less than ideal start to the week) surrounded by some of my favorite people. What more could a girl ask for?
^^Please note that this photo was taken when the car was stopped!^^
So, after many of my closest friends from high school and college (they ALL live out of town) flew in to D.C., we made our way to Charlottesville, Virginia. Home of some of the prettiest landscapes I’ve seen thus far in my five years out east. (It’s also the home of the University of Virginia, so don’t tell Jeff I said that. Go Hokies!)
↓It was there that we managed to work in a little spa day, complete with a relaxing massage, as you’ll see by my comatose look below.↓
And indulge in some fabulous food, with just a touch of sangria.
But most importantly, we sat out last Saturday to truly enjoy the wineries and cideries the area has to offer, and let me tell you, they didn’t disappoint.
↓Not to mention we got to travel in style.↓
↓We kicked off the day at King Family Vineyards, and what a horrible start to our day it was. 🙂 ↓
↓In fact, I think this picture was taken just a few tastings in…↓
and I’ll I wanted was just a good ol’ fashioned sorority scoops photo.
But alas, it was on to the next winery. No time to waste!
^^And if I had to pick the most beautiful spot of the day, I must say that Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards is pretty spectacular.^^
However, our last stop to a cidery was definitely a first!
Such a fun change of pace from the wineries, not that that I tire of those or anything. 🙂
Last, but certainly not least (after a quick nap of course), we all headed out for a fancy dinner and a night on the town.
Don’t worry, I was pefectly behaved the entire time…
Thank you ladies for such an amazing weekend. Special shout-out to my friend Amanda who planned all of our fun events. You all sure know how to make a gal feel special!
