Meet your newest U.S. Senator…

| Living life...

Kelly in the Senate just kidding! Though if she were to get elected, she’d be the cutest one on the block!

Last weekend, my little sister and mom headed east to visit Jeff and I in D.C., but looking through my photos, you’d hardly know my mom came too! Though trust me, if you had Kelly has a little sister you too would take an obnoxious amount of pictures. Not that she hates it, or anything. 🙂

But in all honestly, I think Kelly came to snuggle with the pups more than anything. Which, seems to be a theme with our sweet little Cosmo.^^

But, aside from the all the love the dogs got from their auntie, we had the best time just hanging out, Processed with VSCOcam with t1 presetindulging in a completely calorie-free 😉 pasta dinner at the best Italian restaurant around, Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset

^^One of each, please! No, but seriously, the Tiramisu will leave you feeling complete.^^

and last but certainly not least, my mom and Kelly finally getting to hear Jeff’s beautiful singing voice I’ve been bragging about!

Planes, trains, automobiles and wedding planning…

| Going to the chapel..., Living life...

That part was in the movie too, right? Last weekend Jeff and I set out to make the trek to Kansas City for a quick wedding planning weekend (a whole 48 hours), and unfortunately we got off to a rocky start thanks to some unforeseen travel delays.

When we missed our connecting flight from St. Louis to Kansas City we did what any sane people at 11pm would do, we rented a car and drove the last three and a half hours to Lee’s Summit. Oh, but it wasn’t as simple as it sounds.

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset^^ “Wait Jeff, just let me take this one picture to document this trip. I’m done after this, I swear. After all, this travel delay experience is going to be a great test in patience for us.” 😉 ^^

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset^^Finally, we found a place that would rent us a car and though we were a little annoyed we were optimistic.^^

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset^^And after a long wait in line, it was off to KC we went!^^

Oh wait, not so fast…

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset^^Turns out they won’t let you leave the lot even though they’ve assigned you the wrong car, so it was back in the line we went. Of course we hadn’t lost our patience with each other by this point or anything.^^

Finally, just after midnight we hopped in the correct car, grabbed some coffee and began the drive. I would have helped drive, but Jeff’s name was the only one on the rental. Besides, it was probably best I just sleep a little and not bother him. 😉

Thankfully we made it safe and sound, and while we went with a little less sleep than normal we spent the rest of the weekend hanging out with our mamas, tasting food, picking out napkin colors, etc…

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset^^Mom, don’t hate me for this picture, it was the only one I got of the four of us!^^

We also had to taste some famous Kansas City BBQ, because well, it’s important.

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 presetOh, and we got to spend time with this cute gal,

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 presetand spy on her a little bit while she was working. I think we only slightly embarrassed her.

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 presetNot that she hates when I take lots of pictures or anything.

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 presetAnd last but certinatly not least, toast to my oldest sister Shannon (the one with the blonde curly hair), who’s having TWINS this summer (you should check out her blog, here). Though I should clarify that’s she’s drinking non-alcoholic champagne. Don’t want to worry anyone.

Whew! Reliving the busyness of last weekend is making me tired, but for the Rebori family I think that’s how the rest of the year is going to go!

Renovate our home, get married, become an aunt…the list keeps getting bigger and better.

A peek at our Christmas morning…

| Living life...

in case anyone out there is interested. You’re all still out there, right?

Don’t worry, they’re mostly of Kelly, because lets face it, we all know she’s the cutest.

While Christmas was wonderful, as usual, we were down a few in the Rebori household (I’m looking at you Shannon, Austin and Jeff!) so, it was a little quieter than years past. Well as quiet as you can get with my other older sister Jenny and I’s loud voices, or so we’ve been told. 😉

Christmas Day 2013 1Somehow we all managed to have a great time opening our presents, enjoying each others company, and complimenting Kelly on her new cowboy boots and teeny-bopper magazines. (I’m still looking for the pictures of NSYNC and The Backstreet Boys, but apparently that’s not what the kids are into these days.)

Chrismas Day 2013 3 Christmas Day 2013 5Christmas Day 2013 6^^So it looks like I did manage to get a picture of someone other than Kelly.^^

Christmas Day 2013 4^^I’m telling you folks, a hug like that is the best gift of all.^^

That is until she photobombs all the standard “hold your stocking” photos!

Christmas Day 2013 9If it was anyone else… 🙂

Chrismas Day 2013 7^^Oh, and last but not least, we moved onto my mom’s famous monkey bread (I’m telling you, it really is the best), because there’s nothing like a carb and sugar-filled breakfast to get us ready for the big Christmas dinner later in the day!^^

If you need me the month of January, I’ll be at the gym. 🙂

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and holiday season! Thank you for letting me share tidbits of our Christmas morning.
