… so maybe not every member of the family is taking the summer heat in stride. Pearl, a girl after my own heart.
But since the dogs we’re practically begging for some face time on the blog, I thought I’d show them off – and if you follow me on Instagram, you know it’s something I rarely do. 😉
Here’s a look at what the three most-loved members of our household have been up to so far this summer.
↑If anyone can successfully get these three in a shot together – without someone moving (see Pearl) – I’d be willing to shell out some serious cash.
Cosmo got a little short-sided on this post, but it’s probably because he’s been too busy worrying the eleven pound dog (↑) might steal his treats to stop and pose for the camera.
Brb, these photos are reminding me how much I love them – off to be a #CrazyDogMom.
Happy 4th everyone!
land of cheese, the Packers (you’ll be reminded of the state’s beloved football team the second you step off the plane 🙂 ), and last weekend my beautiful friend and her stunning wedding!
No, but seriously, the wedding was on Lake Geneva (the reception was literally on the lake) and it turns out the place is really beautiful. Have you ever been there?
My friend Alicia – aka The Bride – has always raved about this place and I must say, I can see why she loves it so much.
^^I mean, they have little B&B’s right on the lake, with rooms that double as libraries.^^
^^Bridal suites so cute you want to just move right in. Where else were we going to get all pretty for the big day?^^
^^Of course, a boat fit for a wedding reception!^^
^^Where us sorority gals (I know, I know, judge away) can take a photo four-college-years in the making. When your symbol’s the anchor…^^
^^Or, a nice little sunset to enjoy a glass of wine. (We all know that was my favorite part. The wine. Not the sun set. 🙂 )^^
^^Capped off with a moonlight dance.^^
^^And last, but not least, a little lounge in an over-sized Adirondack chair at the end of the evening.^^
You’re cute Lake Geneva. Thanks for a fun weekend!
and we’re soaking up every minute of it.
Well, at least in between my complaining about the horrendous humidity and constant sinus headaches, but other than that it’s great! 🙂
Just kidding. Besides, what other time of year am I going to get that Au naturel, boat-swept hair?
Or time sailing the open waters of Lake Anna. (Sidenote: it’s quite possibly one of my favorite places to be.)
And, you know, indulging in a few scoops of ice cream. Or three, or four. (Wedding diet, what wedding diet?)
But lets be honest, the dog days of Summer are really about these guys…
and, well, they’re a little like their mama in that they mostly prefer rest and relaxation in the nice, cold air-conditioning. For that reason – along with many others, of course – I love them so.
Anyway, enough about us and our little ol’ lives. How’s your summer going?
